Cook-a-long

We are excited to be working with a private chef to host some cook-a-long sessions where you will learn how to master a slow cooker recipe that will wow your whole family. Chef will take you through every step of the process; from washing and prepping your vegetables, through to how to season your dish to perfection!

Sessions will involve:

Welcome and Introduction by Ian Marvell Chef

Brief overview of Food safety

Brief overview Food hygiene and Knife safety

Reminder of equipment needed

Step-by-step Cook-along with chef

Round up and Q&A

You will be sent:

  • A link to the session
  • A recipe and ingredients list so you can get the things you need
  • A voucher to help with the cost of ingredients (You are welcome to swap items for similar things that match your dietary needs / requirements)

Slow Cooker recipes can be cooked with or without a slow cooker. Those in receipt of Free School Meals are offered a slow cooker if they haven't already got / received one.

You must ensure that a responsible adult in the household is present to support your child / young person throughout these workshops. This is a great family activity so why not cook together!
