Wrap up warm this December and join us here at Grafham Water for our Elf Escape Wildlife Trail! Follow the map to find the elf that has escaped from his shelf and discover some winter wildlife facts along the way!
Further to the government announcement on 23rd November and the release of the local tiers we can confirm our parks will be remaining open for access to the tracks, play parks and nature reserves and we will be providing takeaway services from our cafes.
Fishing boat hire and watersports access will re-open from 2nd December along with our mini golf and retail shops.
We advise all visitors to follow the governments advice relating to COVID19 restrictions and travel. Our responsibility to ensure that everyone who visits the parks remain clear and we ask that everyone plan their visit and be mindful of those who live in the areas surrounding the parks.
Coronavirus - Current Service Availability from Wednesday 2nd December
At Grafham Water the following will apply:
- Children’s Playgrounds open
- Children's Jumping Pillow closed.
- Sandpits open
- The Grafham Water Visitor Centre will be offering takeaway food and drink
- The Harbour View Cafe Bar will be offering takeaway food and drink. The cafe will be closed Monday-Friday from October.
- Toilets will be open
- Pet Foods Direct is open.
Just a few short miles from Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, Grafham Water, England's third largest reservoir can be found nestled in 1500 acres of beautiful countryside.
Grafham Water has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest for over 30 years. Our western end features a 280 acre nature reserve and is home to ancient woodlands, reed beds and important populations of several bird and amphibian species.
Grafham Water Park is open throughout the year, except on Christmas Day.

WHAT ABOUT PARKING AND PERMITS?
Grafham Water Park is open every day except Christmas Day. The fishing lodge car park opens at 8am but at all other car parks it’s 9am.

DO YOU OFFER ACCESS FOR ALL?
Yes, we do. Everything at Grafham Water is wheelchair friendly. The Grafham Water Visitor Centre is all on one level and has a disabled toilet accessed with an abloy key.
The Grafham Water Fishing Lodge is on two levels but wheelchair users can access them both, each with its own toilet for disabled users.
What’s more, there’s a wheely boat giving disabled access to the water.
CAN CHILDREN PLAY SAFELY?
There are well-equipped outdoor play areas at the Marlow and Mander car parks, so they’ll be happy for hours. But please make sure they’re supervised at all times.
WHAT WATERSPORTS CAN I TRY?
Kayaking, canoeing and sailing are all provided from the Grafham Water Centre and Grafham Water Sailing Club.
For your safety, please contact them in advance to access the water. Open water swimming is not permitted, other than as part of an authorised event.
