Postal Vote for parents and carers for the general election

Postal Vote for the general election if you are unable to vote in person at the polling station.

We are sharing this so that parents and carers who due to their commitments can't visit the polling station to cast their vote. A postal vote allows eligible voters to cast their ballot by post, ruling out the need to attend the polling station in person.

The deadline to register for a postal vote is before 5pm on the 26th November. You can download a form to fill in at  https://www.bedford.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/elections-and-voting/postal-voting/. Or you can request a form from Electoral Registration on 01234 718078.

To ensure your postal vote can be counted, you need to return your postal vote by 10pm on Thursday 12th December. You can return your postal vote by post using the pre-paid envelope or in person to Borough Hall or to any polling station in Bedford Borough.
