Who we are:

We are a small group of dedicated parents and teachers, many of us with specialist dyslexia training, who offer practical help and guidance to children and adults. We are an independent registered charity, run by volunteers and entirely self funded.

Dyslexia Screening Tests 

Screening tests are designed to give an indication of possible dyslexic difficulties. They are not a diagnosis and are not 100% accurate.

There are many different types of screening tests; in an education setting some are delivered by computer, others need to be administered by a teacher/SENCo. Some just give an estimate as to whether the child/person is likely to have dyslexic difficulties. A few offer a more detailed profile of strengths and weaknesses which help inform an appropriate teaching strategy.

Where any screening test indicates a moderate or high probability of dyslexic difficulties, the best course of action is to follow up with a full diagnostic assessment. This would determine the precise nature of dyslexic and related difficulties.

Adults Tuesday 5:45pm to 7pm cost £35 TO BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE 

Children Monday 6pm to 7pm cost £30  TO BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE 

We ask for a £10 deposit to be paid at the time of booking, which will be refunded if you have to cancel, providing you give us at least 7 days notice; otherwise it is not refundable.

Dyslexia Support workshops:

These are teaching sessions to help children and adults. They run in the school term time and are bookable by appointment/assessment only

Adults Monday 6pm to 7pm.  Cost £2.50 per session paid termly in advance. 

Children Monday 6pm to 7pm.  Cost £12 per session paid termly in advance

Provide guidance for concerned parents and adults.
