Art Inspired

Who we are?

We are a daytime provision for adults who experience learning disabilities and/or autism, who have an interest in the visual arts and want to socialise and develop their skills in a safe and supportive environment alongside professional artists and experienced tutors.

What we do?

Adults can attend and experience a wide range of art-based activities including painting, drawing, collage, printing, sculpture and mosaics. Participants have the opportunity to work on both individual and group art projects, and pursue their own creative interests, with support and guidance from experienced art tutors and volunteers. We regularly visit the town centre to shop for materials and often go out to visit coffee shops, as well as making shared lunches on occasions. Independent living skills are built into the provision at every opportuntity. We host exhibitions and sales of people’s work, encouraging all participants to be engaged in the running of these events. Profits from sales are used to fund social trips, e.g. bowling.
