Tech Camp - day and residential holiday tech courses for kids 9-17

Design and build video games, robots, drones and 3D printers at the UK’s only specialised hands-on engineering holiday camps for ages 9-17. Day and residential options available in 2020 at six UK-wide venues, including London, Winchester, Reading, Oxford, Birmingham and Edinburgh.

With exclusive projects and courses designed by professional engineers, and all equipment taken home at the end of the event, a week at Tech Camp is just the start of your journey in coding, electronics, design and technology.

At Tech Camp we find that some campers with an interest in technology are also on the autistic spectrum, and parents worry about them feeling comfortable and “fitting in”. Our Senior Management Team has many years’ experience working with such campers and we aim to support specific needs on an individual basis. Our tutor ratio and training enable us to do this – particularly when these needs are advised and discussed in advance so that tutors and other staff are aware of any particular requirements.

Often, we find that the ability to concentrate on an area of interest and peer recognition for tech skills, together with being surrounded by other campers who all like the same things reduces anxiety, improves self-esteem and is a great self-confidence boost!  Click here to see a brief video of our main residential site

Our flagship Winchester venue at Sparsholt College runs all of our courses between 9:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday.  Residential Campers arrive on the Sunday afternoon.

Campers can stay with us overnight here, some families who live further away use it as an opportunity to take a holiday and find their own accommodation in the area.

Sparsholt College hosts our largest range of courses and is set in over 450 acres of beautiful Hampshire countryside. It offers great facilities including large computer rooms, workshop spaces, open campus grounds and excellent catering.  Day campers have lunch and snacks provided and residential campers have their own study bedroom and bathroom in undergraduate "houses" but eat together in the dining room.
