Woburn Safari Park

Woburn Safari Park is a drive through wildlife park nestled in over 300 acres of beautiful Bedfordshire parkland. 

Admission to the park includes the Road Safari drive through expansive parkland reserves to see some of the world's most endangered animals, including rhinos, tigers, lions and giraffe. 

You will continue your journey in the Foot Safari where you'll discover animal enclosures and habitats and can watch fascinating keeper talks and demonstrations. 

Explore the Leisure Area and enjoy fun activities like Swan Boats, the Great Woburn Railway, and outdoor play areas all included in your ticket price.  

 

Disabled Concessionary Admission

Tickets are available for one disabled individual plus one carer and are only available to buy online in advance. 

Proof of disability is required in the form of a DLA, DWP or PIP letter, blue badge, or an original letter from a registered care home, nursing home or hospice. If a second carer is required (your documentation should support this) an additional ticket can be purchased at the gate.

Please do not ask staff to make a judgement by any other means, this is unfair to staff and they will politely refuse to make any discrimination or judgement without official documentation.

Road Safari

Transport around the animal reserves is in your own car/minibus/coach. All vehicles take the same route and the drive takes approximately one hour. You can repeat the Road Safari route through the reserves as many times as you like during your visit.

Disabled Parking


There are 19 parking bays for blue badge holders in the main Leisure Area car park.

 

Disabled Toilets


These are located at the main entrance to the park, in the Safari Restaurant, and in the courtyard block by Junglies gift shop.

A radar key system is in place for the disabled toilets in the courtyard, please ask a member of staff in Junglies Gift Shop for the key, there will be a returnable £5 desposit for use. Or please feel free to use your own radar key, should you have one.

Changing facilities for larger children and adults are available in the first aid room, please ask staff in Junglies Gift Shop for a key and state your requirements. Unfortunately, there is no hoist equipment available for use.

Safari Restaurant - Open for takeaway only


All entrances allow disabled access and the food counter is also accessible. Some tables are available with movable seating to enable wheelchair access and staff are happy to assist with taking trays to tables.

Junglies Gift Shop 


Most aisles are accessible by wheelchair. Staff are also happy to assist disabled visitors tour the shop on a 'one to one' basis wherever possible, helping them with their shopping.

First Aid


Please approach any member of Woburn staff who will immediately contact one of the qualified first aiders on site.

Hearing Loops


Hearing loops are fitted at till points throughout the Safari Park.

Assistance Dogs


No pets or dogs are permitted into the Safari Park and kennel facilities are not provided. Assistance dogs are only allowed to enter very limited areas of the Safari Park and may not enter the Road Safari or any animal enclosures in the Foot Safari.

Please read this important information to help plan your day

Before you arrive

  • Once you have purchased your ticket. Please enter the park through the Ridgmont village gate - the postcode for your Sat Nav is MK43 0TU.
  • A patrol driver will be at the entrance to the Woburn estate, to ensure only ticket holders are allowed entry.
  • Please help our team by checking your car is in good working order before you set out, to reduce the possibility of a breakdown inside the Safari Park: 
    • Check your oil, water and tyre pressure 
    • Check you have your locking wheel nut
    • Check you have your tow bar / towing eye
  • There will be no toilet facilities at the Safari Park entrance, these will be only accessible inside the Park, in the leisure area. 

When you arrive

  • Arrive at the time slot you have selected when you purchase your tickets online. This helps staff maintain traffic flow at the ticket lanes and reduce contact with staff
  • Once you are ready to enter the Park, please proceed directly to the ticket lanes
  • The car park and toilets at the ticket lane entrance are closed (see below for more details). Toilets are only accessible once you have entered via Road Safari and are in the Leisure Area main courtyard or Safari Restaurant
  • Please have your tickets ready to show (either printed, or on your device) or have your booking reference ready, for the ticket lane staff,  in order to minimise interaction.
  • You may wish to remove your car aerial and put on your child car locks while you wait in the queue.

DURING YOUR VISIT

Precautions:

Woburn Safari Park is taking every necessary precaution to safeguard the health and wellbeing of staff, visitors and animals, and can assure visitors that the following precautions have been put in place:

  • Entry to the park with be through our Ridgmont Gate entrance (Sat Nav MK43 0TU), a patrol driver will be at the gate to ensure only Woburn Safari Park visitors with a booking are allowed entry. 

  • Visitors are only able to enter the park, travelling in your own vehicle, thus maintaining social distancing as per Government guidelines.

  • The lead driver or visitor in each car will be asked to read a notice and confirm they have no symptoms of Covid-19 before they enter the park. 

  • Tickets are only available to purchase online to reduce all unnecessary contact with our cashiers.

  • Tickets are strictly limited to maintain safe volumes of cars in the Road Safari, or using toilet facilities.

  • Face covering policy in place throughout indoor areas at the park, including the Safari Restaurant and Junglies Gift Shop.

 

By doing all of the above, we hope that you will have confidence to visit the Park, in the knowledge that we are doing all we can to create a safe and enjoyable place to visit.
