Bedford Borough's Library Link Service - Coronavirus update

Mobile Library Routes and Visits restarting from Monday 12th April.

Click here for the revised timetable (183kb PDF).

Due to the small space, customers will not be able to browse the shelves on the vehicle, but will be able to request books using the Select and Collect service and collect them from a Mobile Library stop.

Bedford Borough has a mobile library and a Home Library Service vehicle, which visits those people who cannot come to a library.

The mobile libraries carry a variety of stock, take reservations and join new members.  If you are a member of the Library Service already or wish to join you can find out where the mobile stops near you right here!

Register for Text Local to be informed if there are problems with the mobile library service.
Download the form and hand it in on the mobile or in a library.

The Home Library Service vehicles are more specialist - delivering to residential homes and housebound customers across the county. More information about the Home Library Service in Bedford Borough.

Bedford Borough's Library Link Service brings the library service to people who might otherwise be unable to use them.

If you are not able to leave your home and visit your local library, Library Link is for you!
This service, using our library link vehicle and volunteers, delivers books to your door. The service is available throughout Bedford Borough, to young and old alike.  You can use the service even if you are confined to your home for just a few weeks.

I would like to volunteer!

Bedford Borough's Library Link service couldn't operate without volunteers who give up their time to deliver items to people who are unable to leave their homes.

If you like people, enjoy books and have time to spare, we would be glad to hear from you. Volunteers act as a link between the library and the reader by delivering books and other items, which have been pre-selected by library staff. This provides a valued contact with the outside world.
