Antenatal classes - Bump, Birth and Baby Stuff

Bedford Borough’s Bump, Birth and Baby Stuff is a collaborative education programme, providing seamless antenatal care to first time parents or as a refresher course, who live in Bedford Borough.
The partnership is made up of Bedford Borough Council, Bedford Hospital, NHS Bedfordshire Community Health Services and Bedford Borough’s Children’s Centres managed by the Early Childhood Partnership and Families First Bedfordshire.
Our ‘Bump, Birth and Baby Stuff’ antenatal classes will help you prepare for your new arrival, find out more about birth, caring for you and your baby, and feeding your baby, whether you are a first time mum/dad or for a refresher course.
Topics covered include:
- Responsive feeding
- Caring for our babies
- Play, development & responsive parenting
- Planning and getting ready
- Your health and wellbeing
Ideally, expectant mums should be at least 32 weeks gestation or more to attend this session and they must be a resident of Bedford Borough.
Partners are encouraged to attend too. In order for the venue to meet health and safety regulations, every person that wishes to attend will need to book an individual ticket. If you would like to bring a partner/friend/family member with you, please just book a second ticket in the name of that person.
See individual classes for timings, if the class is all day there will be a break for lunch so do bring a picnic/packed lunch with you. Drinks and light refreshments (biscuits and fruit) will also be available throughout the day.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BOOKING SITE OPENS 4 WEEKS BEFORE THE COURSE STARTS. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BOOK BEFORE THIS DATE.
