Autism-friendly and SEND session Climb Quest Milton Keynes

On the 1st Sunday of each month, between 9am and 10am Climb Quest run a session for those climbers with special educational needs. You need to book in advance at by visiting https://climbquest.co.uk/ 

They provide:

A calm environment for all members of the family to climb.

We turn the music right down if needed, 

There are plenty of instructors to help.

We also restrict numbers in the session to 14.

We also have a climbing hoist that we can use to help those who find it difficult to climb. We are able to help two people per session with the hoist. If you would like to pre-book the hoist for your child, please email mk@climbquest.co.uk or call 01908 348 900. The hoist is not in operation all of the time, and needs to be set up, so we need to know that you would like to use it.  You are very welcome to arrange a time to visit the centre before your session to be shown the walls and hoist.

Autism-friendly and SEND session

This session lasts 1 hour - 15 minutes briefing and harnessing, 40 minutes climbing, 5 minutes de-harnessing. Parents and sblings are welcome to climb at the same time.  During the session, music will be turned off.  

Please note that due to social distancing, we do ask that adults come onto the arena to help our team.  Our instructors will still assist with harnessing and the hoist, as well as supporting helpers.  If you would like to talk to us about your involvement in the session, please email us.

HAVE A GO SESSIONS

We run regular 'Have A Go' sessions, to provide an introduction to Climb Quest for children and adults with additional needs.  These 30 minute sessions are free, and all of the family is welcome to come to the centre to experience Climb Quest.  Our friendly team are on hand to give support and assistance, and we also operate a climbing hoist to aid anyone who needs extra help to climb our walls.
