Russell Park including the Inclusive Park and Kiosk in the Park

Russell Park is located off Bedford Embankment and provides a range of sports facilities, recreation space, a community café and herbaceous gardens.
Inclusive Park
In 2021 Bedford Borough Parent Carer Forum (BBPCF) were awarded £100,000 from Bedford Borough Council through the Mayor’s Youth Empowerment Fund to help build an inclusive and fully accessible outdoor area of play within the existing Russell Park play area.
The new play space which was opened in Sept 2022 has now been completed with inclusive equipment that can be accessed by all users including those who have special educational needs or disabilities and their families. The play area includes a wheelchair accessible roundabout, see-saw and trampoline.

The Kiosk is a hub of community activity, providing refreshments and outdoor activities and snacks 7 days a week 9am to 5:30pm
Putting is now open again daily 10am – 5pm through the summer season, more updates on our website, as they develop.
Parking
Free unlimited parking is available at Aspects Newnham Ave, Bedford MK41 9LN. you can then walk across to the park using the underpass onto the embankment. Pack a picnic and make a day of it using the picnic benches or the wide open spaces at Priory Marina which is accessed by the path at the back of the Aspects car park.
