Francis House
The home consists of 6 bedrooms with all rooms having ensuite facilities to promote privacy and dignity. One room is on the ground floor and meets Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requirements.
Following the assessment process, staff support service users in developing identified core living skills such as the ones listed below. The list is not limited; we enable and support service users to exert choice and independence in their everyday activities through the development of their own aims and goals.
- Budgeting
- Cleaning
- Shopping
- Attending to their personal hygiene and appearance
- Cooking
- Using public transport
- Accessing community mainstream services
- Accessing leisure services
- Supported employment
- Education
- Building meaningful relationships
There is a communal lounge with conservatory, dining room, kitchen and office with sleeping and ensuite facilities for staff.
The décor is modern and to a high specification but in keeping with a Victorian house - built to last - we believe that the environment is an important factor to promoting mental health and must be given due consideration and planning.
