Stables Christian Centre (Bolnhurst Stables Trust)

The Seed Sowers Training Project offers work-based training to small groups of vulnerable adults, who currently find an ordinary workplace too difficult.

We care for five acres of woodland, hedges and meadow and grow herb and wildflower plants to sell — over 100 different types! We produce our own preserves (jams, jellies, marmalades, chutney) from our own grown ingredients where possible. We also make quality craft items — cards, jewellery, fabric and scented gifts. These are all on sale in our on-site shop as well as some shops in the local area.

All our activities are based around our craft rooms, kitchens, gardens and greenhouses. They are designed to help participants progress towards independence, confidence and working capacity, within a safe and pleasant rural environment.

From May to October on the first Saturday of the month we run a coffee shop serving hot and cold drinks and homemade cakes. (open 2-4.30pm)

Our Christmas Sale is on the first Saturday of December, where we don't sell refreshments, but some homemade cakes are available to buy with our preserves and craft products.

We also have a conference room available for hire with access to the grounds and woodland walks.

We are open to all adults able to work and who need our services.
