Polam Nursery

Polam is a small, caring and happy independent school for children aged 12 months to nine years. Occupying two large Victorian houses on a leafy avenue in the heart of Bedford, it provides a unique home from home learning environment where every child is known by every member of staff.

The school has its own nursery which is open throughout the year and offers a homely, safe and caring environment. The nursery has been judged 'outstanding' for the last three inspections in a row, the most recent being in March 2019.

Parents can book half-day sessions, school days (8.30 am to 4 pm) or can add wrap-around care from 7.30am to 6 pm.

All children in the nursery benefit from weekly music lessons led by a specialist music teacher, plus PE lessons in our school sports hall. French lessons and swimming, in our own on-site heated swimming pool, are introduced from the age of 3.

As an integral part of our school, our nursery pupils take advantage of our school facilities including our large sports hall, indoor heated swimming pool and all-weather surfaced playground. All rooms, include nursery, include interactive smart screens and the latest ed-tech equipment.
