Melanie Stratton -childminder

I have been childminding for many years, following working in a variety of childcare settings. I qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1993 (N.N.E.B) and have built on this by attending a variety of educational and PACEY courses. I have previously worked in a 4+ unit, worked as a Nanny and organised playschemes in the local area.

The care I offer is flexible and fun! I plan on a fortnightly basis, focusing on one topic to encourage children's experiences but in a smaller, loving and warm environment. I ensure that all toys and equipment are kept clean and allow the children in my care to enjoy their playtime and have fun with their friends!

We go out and about on a weekly basis and extra outings and get togethers are planned during holiday times. My garage has been converted and has a bar football table and stereo to accommodate the social needs and independence of the older children in my care. Regular drinks and snacks are on offer, sometimes made by the children themselves!
