Bunyan Preschool

At Bunyan Preschool, we are committed to the principle of 'Every Child Matters.' Our dedicated and skilled staff work together to ensure that each child receives the best possible care and attention. We prioritize the well-being of the children by promoting healthy eating habits and providing them with the freedom to choose activities, while also guiding them through adult-led experiences that foster their development.

Our focus is on creating a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities, fostering a strong foundation for their learning journey. We strongly believe in equality, treating all children as equals, and embracing diversity by offering a variety of multicultural books and resources that are accessible to everyone.

Furthermore, we value open communication with parents and carers, maintaining an excellent partnership with them. Regular progress updates are provided to parents, ensuring they are involved in their child's development every step of the way

Special Educational Needs

At Bunyan Preschool, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where every child with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is empowered to achieve their full potential. Our commitment to the principle of 'Every Child Matters' is at the heart of our approach.

Our practitioners are highly attentive to identifying children with special educational needs at an early stage. We believe that early intervention is crucial, and thus, we develop personalised early intervention plans to provide effective help and support to each child. By addressing their needs promptly, we enable them to progress faster and more effectively.

Recognising that children learn at different rates and through various styles, our practitioners carefully tailor the learning environment, activities, and materials to suit each child's unique preferences and strengths. This process, known as 'differentiating the curriculum,' ensures that every child receives the support they require to thrive.

We ensure that children with Special Educational Needs have access to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through a step-by-step or 'graduated approach.' This approach allows us to cater to their specific needs and foster their development in a manner that aligns with their individual abilities.

At Bunyan Preschool, we prioritize the well-being and development of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). To ensure comprehensive support, we have a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCO) who collaborates closely with our experienced members of staff and parents.Bottom of Form
