Bedfordshire Youth Offending Service
Who are we?
We work with young people that get into trouble with the law. The youth offending service (YOS) gets involved if a young person:
• gets into trouble with the police or is arrested
• is charged with a crime and has to go to court
• is convicted of a crime and given a sentence
What do we do?
We look into the background of a young person and try to help them stay away from crime. There are various programmes that work to keep young people away from crime. They are run within local communities and at the YOS, and can involve parents and families.
