Presentation from Every Cloud Play Therapist  about How Parents' Support Children with SEND in their Development and Learning

Understanding your child through neuroscience: what we all need to know

“Every day in a hundred small ways our children ask, “Do you see me? Do you hear me? Do I matter?” Their behaviour often reflects our response. (L.R. Knost)

In our role as Play Therapists, neuroscience informs much of our work as we use our understanding of the brain to help children make sense of difficult life experiences and move forward. In this 1-hour session, we aim to explain the neuroscience behind the behaviours we all see in our children. Through an exploration of what’s going on in the child’s brain, parents can discover new ways of approaching their child’s behaviour and responding in a way that lets their child know that they do see them, they do hear them and they do matter.
