Presenter: Emma Wilkinson University of Bedfordshire

Emma Wilkinson is a Carers in Beds board member, a carer herself, as well as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire and works for the National Institute for Health Research Design Service.

Description: This lunchtime workshop looks at the field of carer research and focuses down on carers lives. Over the past year we've all become much more aware of research and become armchair experts in public health and this workshop is for everyone. This talk aims to put the lives of carers under the microscope to look at what information is out there and how we can use it to help support carers:

  • What are the sources of information, nationally and locally?
  • What are the burning issues for investigation?
  • How can you have your say and get involved in research?
